NSW Government Boards and Committees Register

NSW Government boards and committees provide leadership, direction and accountability across many areas of the government's work.

Serving on a government board, committee or statutory authority is a rewarding and productive way to get involved and help shape NSW.

Residents of NSW who would like to make a contribution to their community are eligible to join the Register and be considered for a government board or committee.

Recommendations for appointment are based on skills and qualifications. To ensure an equitable representation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, women, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, young people and people with disabilities are all encouraged to join the Register.

The process for appointing people to board roles is highly competitive. Joining the Register does not guarantee a board position.
